Panther Chameleon is a species of chameleon found in eastern and northern parts in a tropical forest biome of Madagascar. It has been introduced to Reunion and Mauritius. The species comes from the genus furcifer.

The colors in the males and females can vary. The males have usually larger size as compared to females. The males have the average length about 12 inches. The average weighs in males found between 140-180 g while females weigh ranges from 60-100 g. These have conical eye shape that can rotate freely. These have two small nostrils above their mouth like most other chameleon species.

Each clutch consists of 10-40 eggs which normally depends on the food intake and the subsequent nutrition the female could consume during her gestation period of 3-6 weeks. These have the typical period of incubation about 240 days.
